He looked at her, and he could see every emotion written across her face. He could see the pain she was feeling; pain that wasn’t even hers. It was her best quality-the way she felt for everything around her; but it was also her biggest flaw, because she lived in a world that didn’t allow that kind of feeling. She lived in a world that didn’t give back; a world that would take her goodness, her bleeding heart, and break it in half. He knew he would do anything to save her.
“Please, look at me” he pleaded. She turned, her eyes wide and desperate.
“You can’t feel this deeply for everything all the time” he continued, “It’s just going to leave you feeling empty. You keep giving all of yourself and you have nothing left.”
